Growing up, I was always different. I felt like the odd girl no one quite understood. My fashion—or sense of style, as we called it in the ’90s—was upcycling my mother’s clothes, cutting, reworking, and turning them into something entirely my own. That early pull toward creating instead of fitting in shaped how I see the world today: finding beauty in what already exists, reimagining it with intention, and helping it tell a story that feels honest, expressive, and unapologetically personal.
